Penne and Asparagus Salad

Published on January 28, 2015

I had never thought of asparagus as leafy greens until the other day when a doctor mentioned it as part of the list of especially good leafy greens along with broccoli, spinach and kale. These vegetables including sea vegetables are major part of the superfoods that our bodies need to fight against disease.

There is a simple way to check how you are doing with your eating choices. Buy some pH strips at the health food store and do the test first thing in the morning before you’ve eaten anything and see if your body has the good alkaline level range of 6.5 to 7. It’s been reported that cancer cells need an acidic environment in order to survive and multiply. Eating lots of vegetables, especially green leafy ones, will cleanse your body and put it in the proper alkaline range and this same diet is also a defense against heart disease and diabetes.

It’s a simple diet choice and a simple way to do something great for your body.

This salad is loaded with super-nutrients.
